Is there a tax credit for a new energy efficient heat pump we installed?

Posted on May 01, 2010 by admin in Energy Efficient Heating

I am getting ready to get my taxes done- should I take along that receipt for 00 that it cost to have this done this past year? I heard that improvements like that count for something. Does anyone know for sure? Thanks!

Which is more energy efficient as far as heating your home goes?

Posted on April 28, 2010 by admin in Energy Efficient Heating

Is it better to turn your heater on and then when it gets to the temperature you want, turn it off, and then turn it back on when it gets cold in your house again, or is it better to just keep it at one temperature throughout the day?

My husband and I are in our first home (we were in apartments before, so we’re kind of new to this), and I wanted to know which would save us the most money? I was thinking about turning the heater off at night and then turning it on during the day, but I didn’t know if that would save money or not?
